The Ideal Flawless foundation is a full coverage foundation and comes in a 30ml glass bottle and is the deepest shade in the collection (Earth).
Even though the foundation is supposed to be full coverage, I noticed that upon application, the texture and consistency were quite light. I prefer light to middle coverage so I didn’t find it too clogging on my skin. My skin doesn’t get that clammy damp feeling it sometimes gets when I use other full coverage foundations and it was very easy to remove.
The colour matches my skin almost perfectly. I swatched a bit on my wrist and as you can see, the colour appears darker. However, my wrist is lighter than my face so it wasn’t that much of a problem. The foundation consists of orange undertones and I was a bit afraid that it may clash with the red undertones in my skin, but instead compliments it, giving it a deeply bronzed glow (I shall upload some photos with me wearing it soon). I would put this on and wait about 15 minutes for the formula to oxidise before heading outside.
Cream to Powder Foundation
Now I’ve never understood cream to powder foundations; does it really turn into powder upon application?
What kind of sorcery is this? Avon describes the foundation as ” a super lightweight formula that glides on as a cream with the light texture of a powder that gives medium to full coverage.”
The shade above is called Sable, which is the darkest shade in the range. I do think it is about a shade or so lighter than my skin tone:
I found the coverage to be quite chalky with this one. The foundation comes with a foam applicator that is in the second compartment of the compact, however I found that the foam absorbed a lot of the foundation so when it came to applying on my face, it dried immediately and left my skin feeling quite dry.
I tested the foundation on my jawline and waited for it to oxidise for a few minutes. It seemed to suit my colour, however when taking a photo with flash, there were the tale-tell signs of a wrong match. My skin took on a ghostly grey appearance and seemed to highlight my blemishes also. I think this shade would suit people who are within the NC40/NC45 skin tone.
All in all, I really like the
