Glossybox: October 2011.

I've done it.
I've finally joined the Glossybox massive!

I was a bit dubious about the concept before for some weird reason (I actually had a reason but I can't even remember it now) but now i've finally come around to the idea and joined a few days ago.

For those who don't now, Glossybox is a company who for £10.00 (plus £2.50 pp) will send you out samples of pretty high end products every month, and I must say, I really like the concept as it allows one to try out products and see what popping within the beauty world!

After I subscribed online, my package arrived 3 days later which was I was really impressed with!
Kudos Royal Mail! (For ONCE)
The box arrived looking all pretty and kitsch and whatnot- I opened it to reveal another box, then another out box, then a bag which concealed some black wrapping paper and THEN a FINAL box.

Here's all the stuff that came in;

I'm currently in the middle of repainting my house so I will at some point review some of these items!

Btw: Why are there so many Derm products aimed towards older women in this month's post? I'm assuming that the target audience for Glossybox is between 18-30...but I digress.

I really LOVED the packaging of the products and I can't wait to start trying them out!

Have you recieved your Glossybox? What do you think of it?

Team Chunk

Last week, me and a friend took a visit to the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford, and while there, we decided to pick up some things for Winter in Primark (I don't understand why they opened a Primark in Westfield; Primark is literally it's own department store these days, LOL). I didn't really buy that much as I'm saving up for Christmas *sigh* but hopefully i'll be able to pick up a couple more pieces throughout the next couple months. :)

Chunky socks.

Chunky oversized cardigan

Chunky hats :)

Chunky boots (especially for snow!)

Have you guys started your Winter shopping yet?

Elie Saab Fall 2011 Collection.

Beautiful!
These dresses look like they come straight out of a Disney movie! I am especially loving the nudes and pale blue lace dresses.

What do we think?

Style Corner: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

I have to admit; I heart this woman SO MUCH. When I first saw her in last years' Burberry campaign, I fell in fashion and beauty lust. That face! Those eyes! Such lips! To me, she's such a quintessential British beauty and I love how well she dresses for her body using classic and tailored cuts. Pure class! Here are some of my favourite looks from her:

Rosie in the Belle du Jour Gucci dress of FW S/S '11!
Michael Kors

Stella McCartney

Kevork Kiledjian

Complete with le Alexander Wang bag!

What do you think about her style??

Winter's a comin..

What will you guys stocking up on this Winter?!
I'll definitely be piling up on oversized woolly knits!

What Scents Suit Your Style?

Like your wardrobe staples, your fragrance is an unforgettable signature and choosing the right perfume to suit your style can be challenging, but rewarding and fun! Your perfume is a way of expressing your personality and like fashion accessories, good perfume adds the finishing touch to what you're wearing.

If you’re a classic beauty: You’re no one season wonder. Your wardrobe is comprised of gorgeous basics you simply adore, and you’d rather save for ages for that special item than have ten mini-shopping sprees on the high street.
Chanel No.5 Eau De Parfum (30ml) £60

Love, Chloe. (30ml) £38.50

Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy(50ml) £42

If you’re a glamour puss: You never leave the house with your make-up looking anything less than red-carpet perfect, and the last time you wore flats was at school. You need a sexy, attention-grabbing scent to complement your ‘look at me’ style.
Marc Jacobs Lola (30ml) £34.50

Bvlgari Jasmin Noir(30ml) £42

Jimmy Choo (40ml) £39

What are your favourite fragrances??

My new little shop!

Hi guys!

So as some of you may know, because I have extremely sensitive skin, I've taken to making my own body butters made of entirely natural products; shea butter in particular! I have posted a little tutorial on how to make your own butter before but throughout the months i've been tweaking my recipe and now i've decided to hold a litttle online shop to share my shea butter with you!

It's quite hard to find unrefined, pure shea in the UK and luckily I have some close courses in Ghana so i'm able to make tooooooooooons of Shea butter! I also include certain oils that benefit my skin colour too.

Take a gander and if there is anything you like, please don't hesitate to contact moi!!

Cheers M'dears!

Pretty In Pink...(September Favourites)

I've been feeling kind of girly for the past couple of months and thus have been wearing a lot of pink!

MAC - Girl about Town

One of my firm favourites. It's super pigmented but not very moisturizing so I always use a lip balm before applying.

MeMeMe Light Me Up Lipgloss in 'Sparkle'

I love this lipgloss as its extremely sheer and can easily be built up. It's also quite accessible in that it has a built up torch in the handle and a mirror on the side for those quick touch-ups.

Sleek Pout Paint

Unbelievably pigmented!!!

Sleek Pout Tinted Lip Conditioner

1. Sleek Tinted Moisturizer
2. Sleek Pout Paint
3.MeMeMe Light Me Up Lipgloss
4. MAC - Girl about town

What were your favourites for September??
