Urban Decay's 'NYC' Palette.

So, after a great deal of persuasion from some friends and some folks on Twitter, I relented and purchased the new NYC Palette from Urban Decay. This is actually my first UD product and I was very excited once it came through the mail.

Well, Kinda.

I came home from work to find one of those "we called ealier" postcards from the Mailman, who had written that he had left the palette in the recycle bin outside our house.

The bin.
Canyouimaginethefuckery =/

ANYHOO, i've fallen totally in love with it! Especially "Haught" which has become a firm favourite. Photos below.

Pretty huh?

Sorry about the swatches, I kinda did them in a hurry.

That's "Haught" on the far right. Isn't it GORGEOUS!!! Sorry about the blurriness.

I understand that it comes out in the US in September. Retails at £30
Does anybody else have the palette? What are your favourite colours?

Two-Tone Lips

Remember back in the 90's when women (predominantly black/latino women) had that whole two-toned lipstick thing going on where the outer shade would be darker than the inner shade? Well, the other day at work, one of my colleages was rocking this look and thus inspired me to try and replicate that look in today's post.

For this look I used:
MAC Lipstick in 'Cyber'
MAC lipstick in 'Milan Mode'
and a MAC Concealer.

First off, I buffed my lips to remove any loose skin then applied the concealer and a clear gloss:

I then applied 'Cyber' on my top lip and around the edges of my bottom lip. I then applied 'Milan Mode' in the centre of my lip:

I then blended it both in and voila!

In the photo below, please excuse the random hairs on my lip. They were left over from my cheap lip brush lmao.

I really want to bring this look back in! ^_^

Sorryyyyy!

I'm so sorry for the lack of posts!
I've started working full time (8:30 - 5:30 ewwww) and so by the time i get home around 7pm, I'm shattered!!!
However, I shall try and do some posts this weekend.
Hope everyone is doing great!

Lush Chameleon Bath Ballistic for Charity!

Lush have come out with a limited edition bath ballistic this August in aid of the Animal Protection Agency, which
campaigns against people keeping reptiles as pets.

A little backstory:
The Animal Protection Agency is the ONLY European organisation soley focused on ceasing the trade in wild animals being kept as pets. Most wild-caught reptiles die within their first year of being kept in captivity and the APA are campaigning for a change in the law to make keeping reptiles as pets illegal.

Lush has joined forces with the APA to come out with a Chameleon bath bomb, only available until the end of August.
"Chameleon" bombs are £2.95 each and all proceeds will go towards funding further research.

I bought mine today and I cannot wait to use it! Be warned, its extremely glittery so handle with care. Apparently, when it comes into contact with water, there's a little surprise, so i'll be looking forward to that!

Has anybody else purchased this?

Lipstick Haul: MAC

For the past two weeks, I've been on a mission to find the PERFECT red lipstick for my skintone. I've tried Sleek, i've tried NYX and i've even tried Chanel, but to no avail.
Until today!
I bopped my way into MAC this morning and swatched all the red lipstick to my heart's content until I found my perfect shade. While there I picked up a couple other colours too, photos below:

First up is 'Brave Red' in Cremesheen! (I know in the photo I made a mistake and put 'color' instead of 'cream'. Silly mare!)

'Brave Red' is a bright red with yellow undertones which I feel would suit most skintones. My skintone is quite red so I think the contrast between my skin and the lipstick works.
(Colour is a bit "off" due to flash)

Next up is 'Milan Mode', a Lustre which is a very "sheer deep pink with a multi-dimentional pearl".

This colour is EXTREMELY sheer so it takes multiple applications to build up the colour. I love it! Great shade for Summer. I always feel that seer lipsticks are great if you are trying out colours for the first time. They are very buildable.

Lastly is 'Cyber', which is the darkest MAC lipstick in their collection.

Cyber is a satin based lipstick which is described as "an intense blackish-purple" and is a colour i purchased primarily for use in the Winter. I've never used a colour this dark before but i thought i'd branch out a bit and experiment!

And there we have it! Do any of you guys have these colours or similar bright colours? I need ideas!
