So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen Goodbye...(For now)

Hey People!

This is just a short message to say that i shall not be posting for a while, for at least a month because I've just recieved my exam results and i have to retake three exams before I can progress into my final year of university; so this means I'm going to be studying HARDCORE for the next month. I have to study like i've never studied before-which is going to be hard because i detest the subjects i have to retake, especially Equity and Trusts Law OMG.:( :(. Essentially i have to cram a year's worth of work into a week. So i'ma be a liiiiiiil stressed out. Anyhoo, i'm going to start this crap. I love you allll!

Wish me luck and pray that I pass these exams in August!

Artist Spotlight: Esmee Denters

I looooooooove this girl! Esmee Denters is an 18 (i think she's 19 now though) year old singer from the Netherlands who, after Vlogging her singing talents on Youtube, was discovered by Justin Timberlake and is signed to his label.
I for one am really proud of Esmee, even though I don't know her personally, i've been watching her Youtube videos for around two years now and it's nice to see ordinary everyday singers which so much passion and talent being rewarded for their efforts (*see Priscilla Renae), unlike other media trained, talentless eyecandy (*See Cassie&Rihanna-Lord knows they are beautiful but they KNOW they have no business being on stage).

Anyway i can imagine that people will instantly be calling her the new Jojo, because of the whole 'white girl with a soulful voice' thing (speaking of which, when IS Jojo's album coming out?! I LOVE that girl! She needsto come back) but i think they have entirely different sounds. Anyhoo check the vids below for a couple of Esmee's songs which i Lurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrve:

Mission Impossible?

Sooooooooooooo i've been on this new regime of diet and exercise now for one month and a two days and you may as well call me disappointed.
I know that losing weight is a long process but DAMMIT! This shit is taking it's time. I've only lost 3 pounds in a month and it is depressing me BIG time, but i'm not giving up this time. I NEEEEEED to do this. I have virtually no will power so this whole diet thing is a big thing for me. I swear i've tried every diet there is:

-The Cambridge Diet
-The Waterfall Diet
-The Green Tea Diet
-Starvation
-Hoodia Pills
-Alli Pills
-Appetite Suppressants (I used one which was AMAZING..I lost around 6 pounds a week, but I can't find them anymore :( )
-The Atkins Diet
-The South Beach Diet
-Adios Pills
-Appisat Pills
-The 'Beyonce' Diet (Which involves mixing lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup into a juice and drinking nothing but that for two weeks - This diet lasted exactly two days)
-Paul McKnenna's Hypnosis Book

Whoo! Hell of a lot I know, but desperation is a bitch. This time I am determined. Anyone who knows me knows i am a fashion ADDICT. I love everything to do with fashion; it was once my dream to become a fashion stylist..but then i went to college and i have African parents and well...that's another story altogether lmao but anyway, i'm sick and tired of buying Vogue and POP and Grazia magazines and seeing all these new clothing trends and beautiful clothes that i cannot wear...and even if i COULD, it would look hideous lol.
I know they say it's good to love yourself regardless of how you look and all that rubbish but it's not that easy if you're not a perfect size 10.

So i've printed this out and have stuck it on my wall.

Pretty good right? This is my motivation Lmao! I am going to be realistic and give myself 8-12 months to achieve a body similar to Toccara's. Her body is BANGING! Mission Impossible? Only time will tell...wish me luck!

My Little Obsession....

I thought I would show you a little obsession of mine; I have been collecting these over the months and as they are rapidly vanishing, i thought i would take a little picture of them before I finish them off lmao:



Yes! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Lip Smacker Lip Balms! I had over 150 of these little suckers last year and now this is all i have (due to various relatives stealing a huge amount :( lmao). I had to get the different flavours (such as Skittles, Coca Cola and Starburst) from the United States as I found them to be incredibly rare over here. I love them all!

The Morning After The Night Before..

Yesterday was GOOD TIMES. Wow. After I had taken the photos of the girl's party, I danced the night away in that sweatbox of a living room. Normally I prefer going out to Bars rather than attending houseparties but yesterday's party was "Liiiive!!!". She was African so most of the music was dominated by Afro-Beats. There were so many guys there. Wooooow. Good Times. Good Good Times. :D. I randomly saw an olllllllld friend whom i hadn't seen since Primary and he instantly recognized me which was a nice surprise lol!
Anyhoo, i'll probably finish this later and add a couple of pics too. But for now I need to head to Tesco before they close so I can buy some blank CDs to transfer the birthday girl's pis.

I've always adored Zanotti heels because they are made so beautifully and are luxurious. I first saw these boots in Jeremiah's (jeremeih? jeremy? Jeremieh? that somalian looking guy who sings birthday sex LMAO) video and thought they were FIERCE.

Jourdan Dunn Pregnant & Rihanna Strikes Again.

It has been reported that supermodel in the making Jourdan Dunn,19 from Hammersmith, London, is pregnant! Apparently, she is due in December.
I feel a congratulations is in order! Call me ignorant but i always thought it would be really hard for exceptionally thin girls to conceive, but hey. I feel it's a bit of an odd time to fall pregnant as she's coming up to the height of her career right now, but good on her! She was featured in Italy's version of Vogue a few months ago and her spread was amazing.
........

Now, there are a variety of reasons why i dislike Rihanna (a.k.a foreheadda). I feel that she is extremely fake. I liked her when she first came on the scene, loved the type of music she was producing, LOVED <3 her first album, i thought it was amazing, then when her record label told her to start dressing a certain way to coincide with her 'good girl gone bad' album, i thought, 'hold on'. There's nothing bad/different/individual about her at all. All she is is a clothes rack really. She doesn't seem to really WEAR the beautiful clothes that she's so often seen in, the clothes WEAR her, and it should never be like that (*See Victoria Beckham). She is a beautiful woman but she just doesn't seem...real/down to earth to me and i blame the vast amount of media training that she and various other celebs have.(*see Beyonce) They should quit being so ..... ROBOTIC in front of the camera and in interviews.

But i digress lol. I saw this photo of Rihanna at some Brad Pitt movie premiere last night and i must say, she. looks. FIERCE. She looks very regal. Kudos to her makeup artist, hair stylist(I see you melinda!) and clothes stylist!

Harry Potter Review

Ok so this is going to be a very short review as i'm about to watch another movie on iTunes lol so here we go...

So i went to go and watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince the other day and i must say i was impressed, as always with Hazza P movies! The directors made the whole tone of the movie very dark, yet with some light parts such as the whole 'Ron/Lavender/Hermione' love triangle which was HILARIOUS. That Lavender is something else! The cinematography and special effects were AMAZING.

A few problems though:

THEY CUT OUT TOO MANY PARTS OF THE BOOK!!!

1) Why did they add the scene where the Weasley's house was under attack? I tried Googling this and there were rumours that they included this scene because they will be cutting out the Wedding scene in 'Deathly Hallows'. I HOPE this isn't true as that's an important scene!

2) They didn't include the memories regarding Marvolo Gaunt etc and the origin of how the ring/stone became a horcrux.

3) In the last scene where Dumbledore is outnumbered by Draco and the other death eaters, in the book it said that Dumbledore placed a petrifying charm on harry so that he wouldn't retaliate. In the MOVIE though, it shows snape threatening Harry with his wand instead. Um ok then?

Overall it was a good movie! Funniest part was when Harry was drunk off the Felix Felicis and he was acting SO out of character and weird like he was high off Mary Jane..it was jokes to watch.

Roll on the last two movies!

In the meantime, i'm about to watch this when it finishes downloading off iTunes:

Thoughts: How Would You Feel About Your S/O Having A Pole Dancer/Stripper At Their Party?

So I came across this little gem of a video online a couple days ago:



It's it's of uber talented singer Steph Jones (Who i've met heehee!) recently celebrating his 'Twenty-Something' birthday party with a bit of a pole dance while his close friend (rumoured girlfriend) Jordin Sparks looks on.

I began reading some of the viewer comments discussing Steph's 'apparent disrespect' to Jordin by having a pole dancer present. Some of the comments are quite harsh and I thought to myself, 'what's the big deal? It's only a poledancer'. Am i the only one who thinks this? I asked my bf how he would feel if i had a male stripper at my party with him in the room and..well i can't quite remember his exact words but it included threats and notions of violence (upon me lmao). I don't think there's anything wrong with it though! Like, i would literally feel NO way whatsoever. It's all in good fun right? I would gladly hire a pole dancer for my bf (with me being in the room obv)...does that make me too trusting?
Men are arseholes, i think we can all agree lmao but sometimes we should give them the benefit of the doubt LOL.

Beyonce - Ice Cream Truck

I vaguely heard this studio recording randomly this morning and i've been humming the chorus ever since! It's quite infectious. It's an old song which i am presuming was for the Dangerously in Love album. I love the Ice Cream Truck sounds in the beat as well. Take a listen for yourself!

Here is Beyonce's 20,00000th single off her critically aclaimed album, Sasha Fierce. I remember hearing this song last year when it was named 'Beautiful Nightmare'. I don't know why they changed the name but hey ho. I was really expecting an uptempo, catchy song like this to have an amazing video, but alas the recession has caught up with Sasha Fierce yet again.
I was expecting positive things when the first few seconds of the video played. I thought, 'OK here we go! Something new!", then the video cut to, yep you guessed it. Beyonce and her two backing dancers YET AGAIN. I'm so sick and tired of seeing those two behind her all the damn time (See: Ego, Diva). Yes, the concept worked very well in Single Ladies but be more creative Bey! Give us another Deja Vu or something! (Lord knows I love that video lol).
I must say though that there are two parts in the video that i really like; the scene at 1:30 where she does that little krump/epileptic fit dance, that was entertaining, and the last scenes where she is wearing the Thierry Mugler Female Robot outfit. Cute.

All in all, I give the video a 1/10 for originality.
